No. Data.overheid.nl is the National Data Portal of the Dutch government. The data portal is managed by the Netherlands Publication Office (KOOP), which works on behalf the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Does the portal itself also publish data?
Yes the portal also publishes data. If the data portal publishes a dataset, the data owner will be described as the Netherlands Publication Office (KOOP). However, most of the data on the portal are published by other government bodies. Data.overheid.nl is primarily a reference index.
Can I apply for data that is not available yet?
We can always help you with searching for data. We can also contact government organizations to ask if the data are or will be available. You can submit a data request here. You cannot submit a Wob request with us, you can only do this at the relevant government organization.
Can I also publish my data on the portal?
This data portal is for data from the Dutch government. If you work for a (semi-) government organization, you can therefore publish government-related data on the portal. More information can be found here.
