- I am a PhD candidate from WUR working on the NWO-funded project of migrants housing in the Netherlands . We are using the dataset to look into the differences in housing quality and needs between migrants and natives, as well as the diversity in the housing quality and needs within the migrant group.
- Impact:
- The availability of WoON 2015 and 2018 data will give us the capability to analyze the diffence between migrants and natives as well as difference within the migrant group in terms of housing quality and needs, which have not been studied yet. As migrantsoften arrive in the netherlands without sufficient material or socila support, we expect that their abilities to secure housing can also be disadvantaged and their housing needs can be different. The study will lead to designing bettwe housing policies for migrants, which help improve the integration of migrants in the Dutch society.
