- DITCH WATER LEVEL NETHERLANDS (As current as possible)

- Good afternoon,
I am currently taking a minor in Geo-information at VU Amsterdam and have joined the open.landscape.network (https://www.open.landscape.network/) for an internship as part of a research project.
Within the project I want to examine which openly available geospatial datasets can help to gain insight into the ditch water levels of individual parcels of specific agricultural land. The goal of this project would be to improve dutch farming practices with the help of geospatial data. As you probably know, water levels in peat meadows are an important indicator of how a particular area is being managed. We thought we had found what we were looking for in the BRO Grondwaterspiegeldiepte datasets published on PDOK. However, it seems that the raster data over the Netherlands with all water levels ("BRO Grondwaterspiegeldiepte GHG [GHG MEDIAN]") is an image. WMS formats are not suitable for us as we want to do further calculations. Therefore I wonder if there is more/current data on ditch water levels in the netherlands?
We would be happy to hear from you on this particular topic.

- As already described above, we would like to find out within the project which openly available geospatial datasets can help to gain insight into the ditch water levels of individual parcels of specific agricultural land. The goal of this project would be to improve dutch farming practices with the help of geospatial data. With the data we would like to answer the following questions: What is the average GHG (average highest water level of the year) and GLG (average lowest water level of the year)? Can this dataset be used to automatically
calculate issues related to groundwater?
