Description

For the KNMI'23 climate scenarios, 240 years of daily data of RACMO (Regional Atmospheric Climate Model) v2.3 are available. For hydrological models, however, it is not feasible to run 240 years. For this reason, 30-year periods are derived that are optimally representative for the whole 240-year period. Additionally, characteristic years are derived that resemble a given repetitive period. The dataset is generated on behalf of STOWA (Stichting Toegepast Onderzoek Waterbeheer) and are appropriate to be applied by the water boards. The focus of this dataset is on studies for droughts.
