Datarequest
- Title:
- Basis Wetten Bestand voor AI-ontwikkeling in Medisch-Juridisch Domein
- Requested data:
- We are seeking a comprehensive, machine-readable dataset of Dutch medical law and jurisprudence. This dataset should ideally include:
Primary Legislation: The complete, consolidated, and current texts of key laws governing the Dutch healthcare sector. This includes, but is not limited to, the Wet op de geneeskundige behandelingsovereenkomst (WGBO), the Wet kwaliteit, klachten en geschillen zorg (Wkkgz), the Wet BIG, and relevant sections of the AVG (GDPR).
Jurisprudence (Case Law): A comprehensive collection of anonymized rulings related to medical liability, patient rights, and professional conduct. This should encompass decisions from the regional and central Disciplinary Tribunals for Healthcare (Tuchtcolleges) and relevant civil court cases from Rechtspraak.nl.
Supporting Official Documents: Official publications, guidelines, and annual reports from key institutions such as the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ), the Royal Dutch Medical Association (KNMG), patient federations, and the National Ombudsman.
- Requested format:
- JSON
- Usage:
- The requested data will serve as the foundational knowledge base for training a specialized AI agent for our platform, Medyours.com. The primary objective is to develop an intelligent system capable of analyzing and interpreting Dutch medical law to provide clear, accessible information to various stakeholders.
Specifically, the data will be used to:
Build and "feed" our AI models using state-of-the-art techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This ensures that all information provided by the AI is accurate, context-aware, and directly traceable to the authoritative source documents.
Develop a suite of tools designed to assist patients in understanding their rights and navigating the complex healthcare and complaints systems.
Create a "compliance co-pilot" for healthcare professionals to help reduce their significant administrative burden and mitigate liability risks by streamlining documentation and compliance with legal standards.
Power an enterprise-level dashboard for healthcare institutions to monitor compliance and manage systemic risks effectively
- Impact:
- The availability of this data will enable the development of Medyours.com, which is projected to have a significant positive impact on the Dutch healthcare ecosystem:
For Patients: It will increase patient empowerment by demystifying complex legal rights and procedures. This provides patients with accessible, reliable information, allowing them to become more engaged and informed participants in their own care.
For Healthcare Professionals: It will directly address the widely recognized problem of excessive administrative burden. By automating routine compliance tasks, our platform will free up valuable time for professionals to focus on direct patient care, thereby increasing job satisfaction and reducing burnout.
For the Healthcare System: It will improve the overall quality, safety, and efficiency of the healthcare system. By reducing friction and improving communication between patients, professionals, and institutions, the platform will help lower the costs associated with disputes and administrative inefficiencies. Furthermore, it will facilitate systemic learning from complaints and incidents, as mandated by the Wkkgz.
