- Usage:
- I am writing my thesis at Universiteit Leiden, focusing on the technological outputs and environmental merits of Dutch companies under the scope of the EU ETS system, by looking on the evolution of different data: - actual emissions of the companies; - the available and traded CO2 certificates of the companies; - the influence of the EU ETS on investing in sustainable technology. I will conduct the research in a quantitative way, using this data.
- Impact:
- The impact that this data will have is the assessment of different relationships that have arisen since the EU ETS started. In addition, we will look at what actually is the difference between the 15 years before this existed (1990 - 2005) and the 15 years since the program existed (2005 - 2020), conducting a Regression Discontinuity Research Design.
